Fox News Admits Reporter Posted Fake Story About Kerry
The fact that they owned up to it is far more shocking than the fact that they posted this dopey story that was designed to call John Kerry's manliness into question...
"Didn't my nails and cuticles look great? What a good debate!" the article by the Cameron read, purportedly quoting Kerry after the event.
"Women should like me! I do manicures," the story also quotes Kerry as telling the crowd.
Carl Cameron, the reporter who posted the bogus story, is a prime example of Fox News' commitment to being "fair and balanced". His wife was a campaign worker for George W. Bush in 2000.
My guess is that his "reprimand" will include a bonus check, dinner at Carmine's on Rupert Murdoch, and full access to the next 2 debates.
