So, It's Basically The Late 70's With An Unpopular War Thrown In...
That's what I get from today's USAToday/Gallup poll which shows the United States "generally in a funk".
Sky high gas prices, a slowing economy, and a President who looks increasingly ineffectual in the face of tough times defined the late 70's in America.
Add in a very unpopular war with no foreseeable end and you've got 2005...
Malaise, indeed...
