Another GOP Governor Gets Busted...It's official: Gov. Bob Taft will go down in history as the first Ohio governor to be charged with a crime while in office. Taft has allegedly been taking gifts illegally ever since he took office.
In that sense, he's not unlike our president, who's the first to ever enter office with a criminal record.
What is it with GOP governors getting caught with their greedy little paws in the cookie jar?
On the upside, the rampant corruption in the Ohio Republican Party should make it much easier to take out this guy next year. Now if some Democrat would sack up and take him on...
P.S. Isn't it uncanny how much Taft looks like his great-grandfather, former President/Chief Justice William Howard Taft? A little slimmer, though...
