Every Crisis An Opportunity...
It was inevitable, but it started far more rapidly and more openly than even I would've guessed.
What I'm referring to is the rush by the GOP to move it's agenda forward, using Hurricane Katrina as a springboard.
David Sirota has put together a short list of ways in which the Republican party and the Bush administration are already angling at a line of reasoning that looks a lot like this:
"Because of Hurricane Katrina we really need to ___________________"
Now, that blank can be filled with any number of things that conservatives are itching for, from Social Security privatization to school vouchers, or my personal favorite: scrapping the minimum wage...
Take a good long look at what really matters to your GOP-led government in a time of national crisis...
