Right Wing Social Programs
Good intentions are fine, but they don't justify wasting of hundreds of millions of dollars. Especially when they produce no actual results. But should any elected official try to kill useless symbols like this, they will be excoriated by the right as being pro-drugs or pro-teen sex. And some critical mass of voters will buy it. We get the government we collectively deserve.
