Why Is He Still There?
My theory about why Gonzales is still in office, facing hearings in May where Congressional Democrats with info from Goodling et al will grill his frail memory once again, is that Rove and Bush are more afraid of confirmation hearings for a new Attorney General than they are of Gonzales continuing to be their doltish stooge. Neither option is good, but they for some reason think that this on is the better of the two. Sad.
