Frum Gets Frank

Ouch. Frum's* assessment of the GOP field is brutal, but the greatest wisdom is in his last sentence:

• But if we want higher-quality leadership, maybe we also need higher-quality followership.

Republicans made their bed with the nutbag right, they will just have to lie down in it. They have been aiming at this sort of field with unerring accuracy for some time now. Now that there is not an aristocratic candidate ( a Dole or Bush on the ticket since '76) we have the real ugly underbelly of what Republicanism has been brewing for years.

*For those that don't know him, David Frum is a bona fide conservative. I challenge anyone to call him a liberal-biased source.
