We Need Immigrants to Maintain Productivity

Bill Gates cares about his own needs well. He obviously cares about making it easier for Microsoft to hire the talent it needs, and clearly the talent pool stretches beyond our borders. The hotel, building, meatpacking, and other industries need immigrant labor - often illegal - to remain competitive. (To think that Americans would do this work for the same money is is stupid.) America needs to forget the great xenophobic wall of (part of) Texas and think about how to assimilate workers from other countries without vilifying them. It is in our economic interest to do so, whether we accept it or not.
