Never underestimate...
...the lengths to which a sycophantic media will go to protect their patron saint, John McCain.
This Wesley Clark non-story is a perfect example.
Gen. Clark answered a question posed by Bob Schieffer, who was clearly trying to get him to say something dismissive of McCain's military service.
In response, Clark praised McCain's service and merely said that being shot down was "not a qualification to be President".
Almost immediately, the obedient McCain-obsessed media FREAKED!!! Suddenly, General Clark had "blasted McCain's military service".
Wrong. He did nothing of the sort. He stated an opinion. Period. But, the media smelled a story and jumped like obedient lapdogs.
Always remember this: The American media is not conservative and it is not liberal. Our media is lazy, uninterested in facts, more interested in style over substance, and obsessed with political figures that are accommodating to them...
UPDATE: Coming to McCain's defense is one of the shitbags that took part in the actual sliming of John Kerry's military service in 2004.
Does the media find that interesting? Not really...
