Our first Olympic shaming before the games even begin
Why is it that a handful of morons seem to garner all of the attention? I suppose it sells news, but stop embarrassing us. If you have the time and the money to attend or even the incredible opportunity to participate in a game steeped in so much history, try pulling your head out of your ass and enjoy the wonders of a truly incredible city and country that most people will never get a chance to see in their lifetime.
Contrary to media portrayal, the Chinese have more in common with Americans than most of the other countries we currently call our “friends.” We’re in their house – show some respect. There’s not a single country in the Games that doesn’t have historical blood on its hands.
I disagree with the President on a myriad of things, but he really made the right call in not politicizing this one. Don’t believe the hype.
