Our stupid political discourse, part 1,036,382,902...

The Wall Street Journal is making the case that Barack Obama might have trouble being elected because...wait for it...He's too physically fit.

No, they're not kidding...

Speaking to donors at a San Diego fund-raiser last month, Barack Obama reassured the crowd that he wouldn't give in to Republican tactics to throw his candidacy off track.

"Listen, I'm skinny but I'm tough," Sen. Obama said.

But in a nation in which 66% of the voting-age population is overweight and 32% is obese, could Sen. Obama's skinniness be a liability? Despite his visits to waffle houses, ice-cream parlors and greasy-spoon diners around the country, his slim physique just might have some Americans wondering whether he is truly like them.
MyDD has compiled a comprehensive list of the qualities the media is convinced that Americans are looking for in their next President:

1. Not think before he speaks
2. Never use more than two-syllable words
3. Always underachieve
4. Hate academics
5. Drink cheep American beer
6. Bowl well
7. Be hated overseas
8. Take lots of vacations
9. Look like "us"

And, critical to our nation's security,

10. Be fat!
