Where’s the righteous anger now?

I guess sick and dead babies don’t rile up the granola crowd like multi-century territorial pissing disputes between the Buddhists and the Sino confederacy.

This is the second time they’ve been caught adulterating a product served to a helpless population with an industrial chemical. Except this time it wasn’t just one company.

While the USDA & FDA will remain vigilant (Chinese formula is banned by the Feds), the “globalized” economy dictates the possibility of this garbage seeping through cracks somewhere else. Speaking from the viewpoint of a cog in the machine, scruples aren’t exactly what dictate some of these purchasing departments.

Maybe one day “Don’t Give Infants Kidney Failure” will make a fashionable T-shirt in the vein of those featuring a certain religious leader. But for now, if you want to see real lipstick on a pig, forget Alaskan governors –go to Shanghai.
