A history lesson for Republicans who think their input is worth anything where the economy is concerned...
In 1993, Bill Clinton's budget passed the House and the Senate without a single Republican vote in either chamber.
That bill helped usher in an era of economic prosperity and fiscal sanity in this country. No thanks to a single Republican in Washington.
Now, the Republican leadership is bitching again about a newly-elected Democratic President's plan for helping America's economy.
My advice to President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid: Fuck 'em! You've got even wider majorities in both houses of Congress than you did in 1993, and have been given a mandate by the American people who believe in your ideas more than the GOP's.
Let every Republican in Washington bitch to high heaven about your ideas.
They're powerless to do a damn thing on their own about the problems facing Americans...
