SC Republicans Want to Cut Off the Gift that Keeps On Giving
To Democrats. There is something extra funny about Bible-thumpin' Repubs getting caught with their pants down. (As I have heard it said...) Matters not whether it's with a stranger in an airport, an intern, or your basic mistress. It's a foul for anyone, but particularly funny when it comes from holier-than-thou moralists like the Christian Right. Maybe repubs are realizing that there is a disproportionate effect on them when they commit these transgressions because they claim to be so God-fearin'.
South Carolina Republican lawmakers are on the verge of calling a special legislative session that could impeach and remove embattled GOP Gov. Mark Sanford by the end of the year.
