Joe Lieberman Celebrates 50 Years Of The National Review...
Remember what I said about liking the conservative Ben Nelson (D-NE) more than the sometimes liberal Joe Lieberman (D-CT)?
I've never meant it more than I do right now...
Lieberman not only attended the 50-year anniversary of the uber-conservative rag, he sat at the head table with William F. Buckley and Rush Limbaugh.
In celebrating all 50 years of trash put out by the National Review, Lieberman also celebrates passages like this one unearthed by Brad DeLong. Click that link and take a quick trip back to what many people would consider "a better time".
For a civil rights crusader, Lieberman certainly keeps some odd company...
P.S. Give me Arlen Specter (R-PA) over Joe Lieberman any day of the week, too. It's always heartening when a Republican has the balls to step up against insane Religious Right zealots like James Dobson.
