The fine Congressman from Virginia claimed the following:

"Just recently I have been directly threatened. A bullet was shot through the window of my campaign office in Richmond this week."

Oh, the horror!!! Except that it's not true...

RICHMOND, Va. — Richmond police say the bullet that hit a window of Republican Virginia Congressman Eric Cantor's office had been randomly fired skyward.

Republicans are so desperate to change the subject from the wave of abject craziness coming from the worst among them that they'll throw any false claim out there to see what sticks.

"Fanning the flames", indeed...
